About the Work
A work of the mature period about the highest form of courage — a person's victory over themselves: over fear, inertia and weakness.
The theme of inner victory is one of the pillars of Grev Kafi's philosophical symbolism. What is at stake here is not an outward triumph but inner discipline, balance and a person's ability to overcome their own weakness.
The work tells no direct story but forms a state of contemplation: colour, rhythm, composition and pause become a language of thought about courage and measure.
"The One Who Conquered Himself" belongs to the "Agni Yoga" cycle — a philosophical and ethical meditation on inner discipline, the quality of thought, responsibility and a person's spiritual composure.
Symbolism & Interpretation
The highest victory is the one turned inward, over oneself.
